The Department of Real Estate Assessments operates according to the Constitution of Virginia, Article X, Taxation and Finance, the various statutes of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Code and Charter of Chesterfield County.
Fairfax County - Department of Tax Administration <www.co.fairfax.va.us>
The Department of Tax Administration (DTA) is charged by law with the responsibility to assess and collect taxes for Fairfax County. The main taxes we administer include Real Estate taxes, Personal Property taxes, and Business License taxes.
Henrico County Assessor <www.co.henrico.va.us>
The Real Estate Assessment Division maintains the County Land Book and performs assessments for tax purposes of all real estate in the County. The Division is developing a Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal system (CAMA) to accomplish this.
